Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to pursue a passion for acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder it was where he studied acting. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV but it's the character actors on smaller screens which have earned him acclaim. The actor is able to play characters from both the good and bad aspects that are part of our legal system. He is able attract the attention of his audience with ease. He was the voice of a serial killer on his first television series project and then went on to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was listed on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
